BOFAS takes over Brighton

Outcomes were on the agenda at the latest BOFAS annual meeting (5 – 7 November, Brighton Conference Centre), with subjects spanning PROMs, patient experience, procedure techniques, the new registry and everything in between.

It was a big week for our newest registry customer BOFAS, as they launched their long-awaited registry platform at the event.

Amplitude were on hand to offer support and guidance on set up, patient engagement and workflow practices for both NHS and private settings.  Our team also spent some time explaining why the BOFAS Outcomes Committee selected their chosen procedures for outcome collection and how the patient scores (MOxFQ, EQ-5D and VAS) will be captured via an efficient, automated process.

Andy Molloy, Chair of the BOFAS Outcomes Committee, gave a rousing speech to contextualise the importance of outcomes for the specialty and how the BOFAS registry will support consultants as they embark on the registry process.

Other great talks on the agenda supported a collaborative, sharing and learning approach from the specialty, with COFAS (Canadian Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society) sharing their ten years of experience in outcomes collection and giving advice to their British counterparts embarking on their own project.

Amplitude would like to congratulate BOFAS on an informative and varied programme, as well as a well-executed and excited registry launch.  We look forward to watching the BOFAS registry grow over the next few months – welcome to the Amplitude outcomes family!
