On 5th October 2020, many outcomes and PROMs enthusiasts from around the UK got together to discuss how PROMs and outcomes can be used to achieve best practice and improve the quality of healthcare provision.

Mr David Bell

Consultant neurosurgeon, specialising in complex spine surgery at King’s College Hospital where he is a key part of the supra-regional complex spine team and several London private practices.

After completing surgical training in Edinburgh, he became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a member of the British Association of Spinal Surgeons (BASS).

He is the National Lead Elect for the British Spine Registry, with responsibility for the quality assurance and outcome assessment in spinal surgery.

He lectures nationally and internationally on topics such as back pain, spinal tumours, myelopathy, neck pain and the ageing spine.

Mr Keith Tucker

Chairman of ODEP (Orthopaedic Data Evaluation Panel) and the Beyond Compliance advisory group.

Member of the NJR Implant performance committee.

Member of NORE (Network of Orthopaedic Registries of Europe).

Mr Maxim Horwitz

Consultant Orthopaedic Hand and Wrist Surgeon in the Hand Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital where he leads the paediatric hand surgery service.

Honorary Consultant for the Major Trauma Unit at St Mary’s Hospital and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) Stanmore.

Awarded the BSSH postgraduate diploma in hand surgery.
